It is quite pricey (96 euros for our family) but we thought it was well worth the money. There is a great playground for the kids to play on and picnic tables for those who bring picnics, as well as on site eateries. There are many activities for the children to participate in or watch including canoes to paddle, a hand rope ferry to pull across a stream, a knights jousting competition, a Roman gladiators exhibition, Roman mosiacs to make, archery and lots more. The exhibits are all very authentic (right down to the fact that they are growing old plants which have been specially cutivated) and the people at the park all appear to be very knowledgeable about the exhibits in their part of the park. It is a 'live' museum and there are people who dress up in the appropriate costumes and who interact with visitors, teliing them about the exhibits. It includes exhibits from 'Prehistory (Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age), Roman times and the Middle Ages. It is an archeological theme park with reconstructions of villages taken from real archeological finds in the Netherlands. We read about this park in the 'Holland Handbook' which is a guide for expatriates we were given by the Expat Centre in Amsterdam. We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children, 10, 8 and 6.
